I remember that my love to heavy metal began when I bought my first album for my 12th birthday, it was The Last in Line!

It was like that: I’ve got some money from my grandma and ran to a record store and asked the salesman "mister, do you have a heavy disc?” He looked at me smiling and said – this one kicks ass!

I bought it and run to listen on a musical player of my father, increased the volume and… from the first note my future way was traced!

For the first time I got to hear the best voice in the world: Ronnie James Dio, the master of masters!

So, because of a day like today, my birthday, today I’m here with you, guys!!! Thank you a lot for being with me in this life!"

Almah : RIP Dio

Here are some messages from the Almah's members regarding the death of Ronnie James Dio.

Edu Falaschi : “Last Sunday night, May 16th, I was returning from Manaus after having an unforgettable weekend with my band Angra when received one of the saddest notices in my life: Ronnie Dio has left us.

The world has lost the Best Heavy Metal singer of all time but, above all of that, we lost one of the most brilliant souls that already existed! An artist who loved his fans and did what really liked: to sing Heavy Metal!

Dio was my great master, a person who inspired me as an artist and a human being! My only idol has gone! It will be very hard to get over this sad feeling in my heart!

I would like to send my deepest condolences to Dio’s family. That God be with them!

Anyway, his art, music and especially his unique voice will always be in our hearts!

Dio, we will love you forever! Thank you for having been with us! May 16th the saddest day of Rock and Heavy Metal!”

Marcelo Barbosa : "This is a very sad feeling of finiteness that comes with a death of some person. In case of persons well-known worldwide this feeling is even more intense, because it’s like you lose someone very dear. Happily, in case of Dio, his marvelous life-work turned him immortal. It’s enough to hear any of his classic works of any of his bands to be convinced that his legacy will live on, whether he is physically present or not. Rest in peace, Ronnie James Dio."

Edu Falaschi with the band Black Nights in Manaus (Brazil)

Edu Falaschi plays today at Vitrola Musica Bar in Manaus (Brazil) from 22:00 (Brazilian time).

He will present a repertoire of classics from Hard Rock and Heavy Metal, with the support of the musicians of the band Black Nights !

Marcelo Moreira and Still Alive

MS Metal Press Official note :

"The band Still Alive has recently confirmed that all the drum parts for its debut album produced by Edu Falaschi will be recorded by renowned Brazilian drummer Marcelo Moreira (Almah, Burning In Hell).
According to the vocalist of the band Walter Campos, "drummer Rodrigo Carvalho is not a member of Still Alive anymore and for his replacement the band wanted to invite someone really experienced who can put more energy in the songs. The choice was obvious, as soon as Moreira fit all the requirements of Still Alive and he is also a friend and a band mate of the band’s producer Edu Falaschi", said the singer.

The first album of Still Alive, as-yet untitled, is to be released in the second half of 2010. "

Almah : Fragile Equality Tour 2010

"The band Almah, led by the frontman Edu Falaschi and bassist Felipe Andreoli (Angra), is finally coming back for the Brazilian tour of the album "Fragile Equality". This time, the cities of Varginha (MG), Belo Horizonte (MG), Goiania (GO) and Brasília (DF), will receive the band in his last appearances before the release of the new Angra's album. "While Angra is ending its new album, we are scheduling a maximum of dates for Almah, for Fragile equaloty Tour. We are very please to come back on stage to present this album, and those who are interested in dates have just to get in touch with our Press Office", said the bassist Felipe Ansdreoli.

Almah for the first time in Belo Horizonte (Brazil)

"Almah has confirmed its first live performance in Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais). According to the official release of the event, Almah will play in Hard Rock Café on June, 13 with the bands Ayra and Dinnamarque.

According to the singer Edu Falaschi "It will be great to play in Belo Horizonte for the first time. Felipe and me have always got the support of this place all over the years of our career and touring with Angra, - said the frontman Edu Falaschi, - We are very happy to have this opportunity to present “Fragile Equality” to the fans from Minas Gerais. Here are the news of the month on Amah European Fan-club :

**Screensaver of the month : Almah is back on stage and will be the headliner of several important Brazilian Festivals in June ! To celebrate the event, The Fan-Club offers you a screensaver of Almah live pics, taken by the photographer Felipe Spider during the Fragile Equality Tour 2009 !

** Ringtone of the month : "You'll Understand" riff intro.

** Guitar lesson of the month : The team of the Fan-Club found that most Almah's fans and Fan-Club members were musicians ! So we opened a few months ago the Scary Zone Blog, which offers guitar and bass lessons.

This month, we suggest you to play a classical piece from Bach, the Prelude in Cm, which will allow you to work the alternate picking and the coordination of both hands !

Remind you : the Fan-Club is also a community !
