This week, Felipe Andreoli from the band Angra gives some advices to those who want to start playing bass.

Felipe Andreoli is the bass player of heavy-metal band Angra. He also plays in the bands Karma and Almah. Felipe is famous partly because of the spread of three fingers pizzicato technique.

Edu Falaschi / Felipe Andreoli : elected best of Brazil by the readers of Roadie Crew Magazine

Edu Falaschi and Felipe Andreoli are the best vocalist and the best bassist in 2010, respectively - this is the opinion of the readers of one of the most important rock&metal media in the native country of the musicians, Roadie Crew. The result of the voting is revealed in March issue of the magazine and it marks the absolute succes of the musicians in 2010: besides the Best National Singer and Best National Bassist awards, the latest CD with Edu and Felipe, “Aqua” recorded with another band, Angra is recognized as the best national album of the year, and Angra - as the best national band-2010 in Brazil.

The last year became very important for the career of the both musicians. Besides of the total success with Angra, Edu and Felipe took part in various projects, making guest appearances and workshops, both produced CDs of Brazilian bands and, of course, concluded Fragile Equality tour with Almah.

As previously reported, Almah is back on track with the plans to release a new album before the end of this year and at the moment, Edu Falaschi and Felipe Andreoli together with their bandmates are preparing to enter the studio in May to start the recording of the long-awaited follow-up to Fragile Equality.

Edu Falaschi : juror in Soulspell semi-finals and final

The lead singer of the bands Angra and Almah, Edu Falaschi, will be one of the jurors in the second national (Brazil) contest for singers who want to join Soulspell Metal Opera.

The first event will take place on March 27, in one of the most traditional bars in the capitale, the Blackmore Rock Bar at 7h00pm.

According to Heleno Vale (Soulspell) : "There will be 20 performances of singers, chosen among 160 registered from all over the country, singing great classics of rock and metal, like Iron maiden, Metallica, Queen, Europe, Nightwish, After Forever and others. The 10 better will go the great final to be held in April. The jurors present will be great names of national scene as Edu Falaschi (Angra, Almah), Tito Falaschi (Illustria), Daisa Munhoz (voted best female vocalist of 2010 by Roadie Crew magazine and Whiplash), Leandro Caçoilo (ex-Eterna), Jefferson Albert (Soulspell), Heros Trench (Korzus / Mr.Som studios), Thiago Mauro (Roadiecrew), among others."

Edu was one of the singers who took part in the line up of Soulspell second album "The Labyrinth Of Truths".

In parallel, Edu Falaschi is composing the third studio album of Almah, still untitled, which is scheduled to be launched in the second half of this year.

Today the Official Japanese Blog of Almah revealed the messages of Almah musicians, Edu Falaschi and Felipe Andreoli, to Japan :

** Edu Falaschi :

After 10 days I still have no words to express all this pain that I have in my heart!

But at the same time I feel that I must try in any way to help the people that I love and respect so much!

My daughter has Japanese blood and a part of my family is Japanese, and this make the sadness that I feel even stronger!

But I’m sure that Japan will rise again and will show to the world why this country is so evolutive!

I know that Japan lost many innocent lives, but if this kind of disaster had happened in some other country, we would have million of dead people! I’m proud of Japanese people! Their respect, culture and intelligence, saved million of lives!

Edu Falaschi : special guest of the show of Children Of The Beast in São Paulo

The lead singer of the bands Angra and Almah Edu Falaschi, will be among the special guests at the concert that the band Children Of The Beast will play in the capitale of the state, on next March 25th.

The event will also count with the participation of Tito Falaschi and Aquiles Priester, and will take place in one of the traditional rock venues of the country, the Manifesto Bar, at 10h00pm.

Children Of The Beast (official Iron Maiden tribute band from Brazil) will present a large set-list covering all Iron Maiden releases. Consequently, the set-list will include songs from the albums "Iron Maiden”, “Killers”, “The Number Of The Beast”, “Piece Of Mind”, “Powerslave”, “Somewhere In Time” and “Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son”, among others.

Almah is back with a new album in 2011

We are glad to announce that ALMAH enters the Norcal Studios in São Paulo on 2th of May to record the material for the long awaited 3rd album, the follow-up of successful Fragile Equality (2008).

The line-up remains the same :
- Edu Falaschi - vocals
- Felipe Andreoli - bass
- Marcelo Barbosa - guitars
- Paulo Schroeber - guitars
- Marcelo Moreira - drums.

The album, as-yet-untitled, is planed to be released in September 2011 worldwide.

"I’m very happy with Almah’s comeback in 2011, first of all, because this third CD should consolidade Almah as a band once and for all!!! This album will show you a mature band and it will define the individuality and language of our sound, which is the most important thing! I’m very exctited to launch it soon!"
Edu Falaschi

Almah was established by Angra’s singer Edu Falaschi in 2006. The previous CD, Fragile Equality saw the light of day in September/October 2008 through JVC (Asia)/Laser Company (Brazil)/AFM Records (Europe, North America) and became one of the most significant and best selling power metal albums at that time. In Brazil it was recognized as the best album of the year and Almah became the best band according to the rock and metal media. The Fragile Equality tour started in São Paulo in November 2008 and finished in June 2010 in Brasília. Then the musicians began to prepare the ideas for the next CD. More details about the new album will be revealed soon.
